Container plants

We’ve had a good mixture of sunny weather with heavy downpours of rain over the past week, which has been brilliant for all the containers plants in the backyard!

All the strawberry plants are coming along very nicely…

The Petunias have opened up into gorgeous bright pink & purple flowers…

The Snapdragons are opening up… I looked up why they’re called that & apparently if you press them together laterally they resemble a laughing dragon- we tried this several times & not once could we see a dragon πŸ™‚

The Senettis are full of pollen, which obviously the bees are loving πŸ™‚

Even one of the Lobelia plants has started to get teeny tiny flowers opening…

The other news is that the Bird Seed Experiment is coming along nicely… as you can see in the image below a lot of green shoots have appeared which are growing quite quickly, and there are also smaller shoots sticking up through the soil…

And I’m really pleased that the Cornflowers have taken πŸ™‚

So, that’s it… a quick update into how the container plants are doing. I couldn’t finish without mentioning the wildflower garden – it’s coming along really well and we have green sprouting up everywhere which I’ll cover in another post πŸ™‚
